Sagas

Sagas, in watch order

The Sagas tab gathers more than 40 franchises, from Star Wars to Pirates of the Caribbean, films and shows in one list. Each saga shows how far through you are and what's up next.

Release or chronological
Watch in the order they came out, or the order the story happens.
Up next
Mark the next title watched, or skip it and move on.
Films and shows together
Star Wars alone runs to 13 films and 15 shows.
emberslate Sagas tab: All sagas, 43, sorted by Popular, with cards for Predator, Alien, X-Men and Pirates of the Caribbean showing how many titles each has and how far you've got.
emberslate saga page for Star Wars: 13 films and 15 shows, up next is Star Wars from 1977 with Mark watched and Skip, and a Release or Chronological order switch.

Stats

Viewing stats that notice things

The Insights tab goes past totals. It finds the actors who link the things you've watched, the title you rated furthest from the TMDB average, the genres you actually finish and how long your episodes usually run.

Your constellation: Timothée Chalamet connects 6 things you've watched, drawn as a web of actor portraits linked by shared titles.
Your usual length: 47 to 58 minutes, where half your episodes sit, over a chart of episode runtimes.
Your biggest rating gap: you gave Past Lives 10 out of 10, against a TMDB average of 7.7.
What you finish: Science Fiction leads at 100% finished against 83% overall, with a bar for each genre.
Backlog pressure: plus 1.0 titles a month, because you add faster than you finish.
How far you've got: across 10 unfinished series, 10% are early on, 30% around halfway and 60% nearly there.

Charts sit in four tabs: Rhythm, Taste, Momentum and Library, and each one unlocks once there's enough to say something. All of it is free right now.

Recaps

Monthly recaps and your year in review

Every month gets a recap, and the year gets a review you tap through like stories: how much you watched, the day you watch most, and your year in one word.

emberslate year in review, days of the week: Saturdays, with 22 watches, the tallest bar of the week.
emberslate year in review for 2026: a collage of posters, the months you watched in, and everything you watched this year in one place.

Calendar

Release calendar and episode reminders

Every release from three months back to a year and a half ahead, with a poster on each day and a dot on days with something you track. Show only your watchlist, or filter to popular titles and anime. Then let emberslate tell you when something airs.

  • Three views

Films, premieres and episodes, each on its own tab.

  • Reminders your way

Each episode at airtime, an hour or three before, or a custom time. Or one alert when a season is ready.

  • Quiet when you want

Quiet hours, and episode titles kept out of notifications if you'd rather not know.

emberslate release calendar for October 2026: 426 releases, a month grid with a poster on each day, and Tuesday 6 October's list opening on the NCIS season 24 premiere.
emberslate notification settings: show reminders for each episode or when a season is ready, at airtime, 1 or 3 hours before or a custom time, an option to hide episode titles, and quiet hours from 23:00 to 08:00.

Discussions

Episode discussions, with spoilers blurred

Every title has a discussion and every episode has its own thread. Say how it landed in one tap and see how everyone else voted, then reply, mention people or post a GIF. Friends shows only people who follow you back, and posts marked as spoilers stay blurred until you tap.

Your data

Take your data with you, or delete it

emberslate stores your account, library and community activity so they follow you between devices. Export from Settings gives you your library, every watch and your posts as spreadsheets in one ZIP. You can also delete the whole account from inside the app or from the web. Deletion removes your profile, library, progress, history, community activity and settings, and it cannot be undone.

emberslate Import & export settings: import from TV Time, Trakt, IMDb, Letterboxd, Bingers, Muvy or Refract, and Export your data, your library, every watch and your posts as spreadsheets in one ZIP.

Questions

emberslate FAQ

What is emberslate?

emberslate is a TV and movie tracker for Android, made by emberfold labs and available on Google Play. Organize a watchlist, mark episodes as watched, rate titles and explore your viewing history and stats. Your library and progress sync across devices, and you can follow friends and discuss a title or a specific episode. emberslate helps you track what you watch; it does not stream movies or TV shows.

Can I download emberslate now?

Yes. emberslate is available now on Google Play for Android. Open the Play Store listing to install it on your device.

Who makes emberslate?

emberslate is made by emberfold labs, an independent studio. Questions and feedback go to hello@emberfoldlabs.com. There is more on the about page.

Is emberslate on iPhone?

No. emberslate is for Android and is available on Google Play. No other platforms have been announced.

Is emberslate free?

Yes. All features in emberslate are currently free, including release reminders, quiet hours, themes, advanced stats and your full timeline history. There is no advertising in the app, and we do not sell personal data. While analytics is on, Google receives your device advertising ID and a sign-up event so we can measure our own ads; you can turn this off in Settings under Privacy & safety. Pricing may change in the future as the app grows; we will explain any changes before they take effect.

Does emberslate support release reminders?

Yes. emberslate sends episode release notifications for the shows you follow, and quiet hours let you control when they arrive. Both are currently free. Push notifications are optional: turn them off on a device and its push token is removed.

Can I use emberslate instead of TV Time or Trakt?

emberslate does the same core job: tracking the shows and films you watch, episode by episode, with a watchlist, ratings, viewing history and stats. If you have used TV Time or Trakt, you can bring your existing library with you and review the matches before anything is applied. All features are currently free and there is no advertising. emberslate is not affiliated with TV Time or Trakt.

Which trackers can I import from?

TV Time, Trakt, Letterboxd, IMDb, Bingers, Muvy and Refract. Pick your tracker's export file, review the matched titles and apply the import without overwriting existing entries. The uploaded file is read in memory and is not saved as a server file, and the review staging is deleted when you apply or cancel the import, or automatically after seven days.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Settings has an export that gives you a ZIP of CSV files, one table each, that opens in any spreadsheet. Titles are identified by their TMDB id and, where known, their IMDb id.

Which languages does emberslate support?

English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian and Indonesian.

Does tracking work offline?

Yes. Episode progress you mark in emberslate while offline queues up on your device and syncs when you reconnect. Cached copies of your profile, watchlist and progress let the app open with no connection, and your library and progress sync across devices when you are online.

How do I delete my emberslate account?

Delete it from inside the app under Settings, or on the web at emberslate.app/delete-account if you no longer have the app installed. The web page confirms it is you with a one-time code sent to your email. Either way, your profile, library, progress, history, community activity and settings are removed, and it cannot be undone.
